01   Participants 

The forum is a team presentation. One team consists of 4 to 6 students.  

02   Topic and Tasks

2.1 Topic: The Future Shaped by Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)

2.2 Tasks

​     2.2.1  Identify the most suitable generative AI system among existing systems in the following areas, and provide examples to                 highlight its limitations or areas for improvement:

             - Text: Generative AI systems trained through word or phrase analysis, including natural language processing, machine                    translation, and natural language generation.

             - Molecules: Prediction of protein structures or new drug development using amino acid sequences or molecular                               representations.​​

             - Audio: Automatic sound generation from white noise using matching images or text.

             - Video: Generation of diverse video clips.

             - Robotic Motion: Control of movements in robotic systems.

​     2.2.2 Using the above generative AI systems, predict how your home country or region will change in 20 years in at least                        three of the following areas:

                - Changes in the education (school) or learning system.

                - Changes in distribution and sales methods.

                - Changes in government governance and administration.

                - Changes in the way cultural and artistic content is consumed.

                - Changes in aerospace, defense, and scientific advancements.

03   Presentation Preparation

3.1 Each team may freely plan their presentation, e.g. include drama skits, group presentations, music, use of media etc. The main          focus of the presentation needs to be the speech. Drama skits, video clips, music, posters etc. are only means of support.

3.2 Each team member has to participate actively in the presentation.​

3.3 The presentation needs to be at least 7 minutes but no more than 10 minutes long.​

3.4  Each team needs to prepare before arrival. Only a small amount of time will be provided for preparations/practice on site.

3.5 All materials used in presentation should be suitable for the general purpose and audience of the event.

3.6 All music, video and other files used for the presentation of one team must be stored in a single folder on a flash drive/USB.

3.7 The folder name on the flash drive/USB must be the name of the team.

3.8 Sound system, screen, microphones, and a table will be provided for the presentation.

04   Preliminary and Final Rounds

4.1 Preliminary Round​

          4.1.1 The preliminary round will be on June 4th​

4.2 Final Round

      4.2.1 All teams from the qualifying rounds will compete in one final round on June 5th.

      4.2.2 The order of presentation will be decided by a drawing that will take place at the beginning of the final round.​​

     Note:

     a) The cut off time for submitting the presentation files (containing PPT materials, music etc.) must be kept. Late turn-ins will               not be accepted. If the presentation files are not submitted on time, they will not be displayed during the presentation.

     b) The presentation files are to be submitted via email to kyehwan@gemgem.org by 9pm on May 23th, 2025.

4.3 Attendance

       There is a “No Tardiness” policy for all rounds of the Global Youth Forum: If a team arrives late or does not show up for their           presentation, the team will not be allowed to present and, thus, will not be able to compete in the GYF.

Guidelines

Above all, participants are expected to follow all guidelines. Beyond just seeking solutions, participants are encouraged to learn others' perspectives. These rules and guidelines are designed to help give a better understanding of what behavior is expected and make your experience more enjoyable and productive.

05   Evaluation

5.1  Evaluation Criteria 

   5.1.1 All presentations are evaluated according to ten different criteria that refer to organization, content, delivery, language,                        creativity, media use etc.(see Appendix A).

   5.1.2 A team is allowed to use the same presentation from the preliminary round during the final round.

​5.2   Judges and Sccoring 

   5.2.1 Two to four judges will judge each round, as appointed by the organizing committee

   5.2.2 Each judge will score each presentation according to a scoring rubric.(See Appendix A)

6.2 Registration Fee​

  • $200 per MOU school’s student

  • $250 per non-MOU school’s student

  • $230 per GVCS student

  • $70 per online track student  

     6.2.2 Registration due date​

          6.2.2.1 May 1st, 2025(Korean local time).

          6.2.2.2 The payment due date isMay 1st, 2025 (Korean local time)

  • Wire transfer charges and airfare are not included in the registration fee.

07  Online Track 

Above guidelines equally apply to the online participants except the below: 

7.1 Each team should film its presentation and submit the video via Google link to kyehwan@gemgem.org by May 23, 2025.

7.2 The title of the video and email should be the name of the team and the school, for example, [TEAM NAME, SCHOOLNAME].
